Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

1

I offer a range of modalities offered to meet your specific needs, including individual, couple, and family psychotherapy services. I practice primarily through a psychodynamic and relational framework

What is psychodynamic psychotherapy?

2

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a collaborative approach that focuses on developing a deeper understanding of your emotions, thoughts, and relationship patterns. Together, we may explore how past experiences—including those outside of your awareness—can shape how you experience yourself, others, and the world today.

With a relational emphasis, I pay particular attention to the therapeutic relationship itself. The way we relate to one another can offer meaningful insight into patterns that may show up in other relationships, while creating an opportunity to experience something different.

What makes you different?

3

I don’t necessarily see myself as “different” from other mental health providers. Rather, I offer a particular approach, perspective, and therapeutic relationship that may resonate with some people more than others. Finding the right therapist is a personal process, and it can take time to figure out what feels like the right fit for you.

What I can offer is the opportunity to explore that fit together—to see what it is like to work with me, and whether the relationship and approach feel supportive and meaningful to you.

What if I am in a serious mental health crisis?

4

Please note that I am not an emergency or crisis provider and cannot provide emergency mental health services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, feel that you may harm yourself or someone else, or are otherwise in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
